CSD

Computer Systems for Distribution

Brief
In conjunction with moving into contemporary new premises, CSD required a fresh, modern brand that would lend itself for use in a range of scales and mediums. Not only did the company and the software they produce require new logos, but their new offices needed large-scale signage, wall and window graphics that displayed their new brand proudly.

Details
The overall brand concept was designed to create a sense of modernity and clarity. A limited colour pallete and a bold choice of graphic elements and fonts ensured a clean, high-impact appearance that delivered an up-to-date feel.

To design and print a commemorative brochure for the official opening of the Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government building. It’s purpose was to ‘mark a moment in time’ with an inspiring introduction to appeal to prospective donors.

It was important to us that the design and choice of stock should emulate the fabric of the building which makes it so distinctive. We chose a square 220 x 220mm format to reflect the shape of the building, with the cover in an earthy 360gsm Materica, in Clay, to represent the concrete base of the building. Translucent end papers, printed with white ink represent the glass and uncoated Olin 220gsm was used for the main content. The overall design was that of simplistic elegance, with understated typography and structured layout.

The Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre

The Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre

Brief
To design and print a commemorative brochure for the official opening of Worcester College’s Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre.  The building houses a large lecture theatre, student learning space, seminar rooms and a dance studio. The project is not simply the provision of new facilities, but also the development and enhancement of the setting of this significant part of the College site. It would be light on text, making the most of stunning photography.

Details
It was important to us that the design and choice of stock should emulate the fabric of the building. We chose a square 220 x 220mm format with the cover in 270gsm Curious Matter Goya, which is a stock made from potato starch. The texture of this stock feels slightly rough to touch, which combined with a photograph of stone, gives you the sensation of touching the walls of the building itself. The translucent end papers, printed with white ink represent the glass and uncoated Olin 200gsm was used for the main content. Gold foil for the title and brass wires further reflect elements of the building. The overall design was that of simplistic elegance, with understated typography and structured layout.
